Jeff Zieba

Jeff is an avid skier and traveler who calls the slopes of Mount Mansfield in Stowe, VT home.  He grew up in Massachusetts skiing the mountains of New England and learning the ins and outs of  local ski areas and towns.

Jeff has embraced ski culture from an early age as part of an enthusiastic skiing family, spending any possible winter vacation on the slopes. He is a former ski instructor and ski racer, and has probably seen every ski movie produced between 1995 and 2005 a dozen times. Now with a young family of his own, he enjoys carrying on the tradition with his wife by spending time in the mountains and teaching the kids  to ski.

Through his travels, Jeff has developed a deep appreciation for the history of skiing, ski culture around the world, and the importance of preservation. He enjoys helping others with travel plans through writing guides, advising on bookings and transportation logistics. A natural storyteller, Jeff is pumped to share his recommendations and tales from the slopes with the Avant Ski community.
