Lexi Dowdall
Skiing Storyteller, HQ'd in Utah
Lexi is a skier and freelance storyteller based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. She is the Director of Freeride for the IFSA and contributes as a writer/athlete for Ski Utah. Lexi grew up in Little Cottonwood Canyon with a dad pulling shifts in the emergency medical clinic at Snowbird. (He knows most of her friends very well). Lexi had never skied beyond Utah's borders, until age 18 when she joined the University of Puget Sound's club ski team. Making up for lost time, she explored many resorts in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Now, with a job in the ski industry, she travels all over Canada and the U.S., visiting different mountains and adding ski area trail maps to her growing collection.
Lexi spends the majority of her time at Alta or Snowbird but in the last year she's skied at Beartooth Basin, Jackson Hole, Grand Targhee, Kicking Horse, Sugarbush, Revelstoke, and nearly all the resorts in Utah. Lexi is also an avid backcountry skier. In 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Lexi spent her time teaching herself to paint with watercolors. The variety of terrain at Solitude makes it an ideal destination for families or groups of different skill levels.
Snowbird Intermediate Itinerary
