Skyler grew up calling Teton Valley home and learned to ski at Grand Targhee. He has been a ski instructor at Grand Targhee and has lived in several ski towns including Steamboat Springs, Park City and Vail. He brings local expertise of the resorts and towns to Avant Ski. After 4 years of colleeg in Ithaca, NY, Skyler moved back to the west and has vowed to always be close to the slopes.  He has spent the last two winters in Salt Lake City getting to know the Wasatch Range and considers Alta Ski Area home base.

Grand Targhee Intermediate Itinerary

Intermediates can gain confidence while nailing turns down wide groomers, bouncing down bumps, or practicing powder turns. All lifts (excluding Shoshone) service blue terrain. Crazy Horse and Wild Willie are steep and challenging groomers with views of the valley below. Fun tree skiing can be accessed beneath the Sacajawea Lift.

Targhee is bound to keep advanced/expert riders grinning. Targhee claims one of the lowest ratios of skiers to off-piste powder acres in America, the true sign of a powder paradise. There is accessible hiking terrain up Mary’s Nipple and access gates for experienced backcountry travelers.
